JUST AS ATHLETES DREAM of their next competitions, grateful for the support and encouragement they have received to achieve their victories, at GIRE we look to 2025 with hope and commitment.
In 2024, our work was made possible thanks to the Ford Foundation-Office for Mexico and Central America, the Levi Strauss Foundation, and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, with their donation through flexible funds for the organization’s general support. We also acknowledge the support of the Arcus Foundation, Co-Impact, Foundation for a Just Society, Fòs Feminista, Open Society Foundations, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, and an anonymous donor.
At the same time, our work was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of individuals who have decided to join us in the fight for a Mexico where all people can freely exercise their reproductive rights.

Our commitment in 2025 is to maintain what we have achieved and advance the recognition and protection of reproductive rights: supporting justice seeking processes by demanding the application of the highest standards for the protection of human rights; promoting the existence of universal, quality public health services; and, incorporating a caring approach into the documentation and support of reproductive health cases, including abortion.
With discipline, creativity, and passion, we will continue running this long race. As in the Olympics, greatness is not only measured in medals, but in every step taken with effort, perseverance, and commitment. At GIRE, we continue running for a just future, one step at a time, until we reach the finish line.
